Who Is A Candidate For Accutite?

Healthy adults who have a moderate amount of tissue laxity and excess fat on small areas of the face or body are generally good candidates for Accutite. This radiofrequency procedure has been successfully performed on adults of various ages who are interested in addressing specific concerns without surgery. If you are ready to rejuvenate your appearance without surgery and extensive downtime, come in and learn more about how we perform this sophisticated procedure.

How Is Accutite Performed?

Accutite is a minimally-invasive procedure that we perform in the office using a local anesthetic and an oral sedative. After numbing has been achieved, the doctor uses a small cannula applicator to deliver precise radiofrequency energy. The Accutite applicator is two-pronged. One prong of the applicator slides under the skin through a tiny nick. This delivers radiofrequency waves into the layer of fat and into the dermis, where collagen and elastin are produced. The internal prong sends radiofrequency waves upward toward the skin's surface. Here, it meets with radiofrequency waves that are delivered by an external electrode. During the painless treatment, the device constantly measures tissue temperature both internally and externally to achieve safe, uniform results. Depending on the size of the treatment area, Accutite may take as little as 20 minutes.

How Quickly Will I See Results?

Results can be seen immediately, with the best results noticeable after 6 weeks and continuing up to 12 months.

How Long Does An Accutite Procedure Last?

The tissue-tightening stimulated by the Accutite procedure continues for several months. The effects of treatment may be most apparent starting 6 weeks after the procedure. According to clinical studies, the results of Accutite may last up to 5 years. However, because the body is in a continual aging process, patients are encouraged to practice a healthy lifestyle and good skincare habits that support more youthful skin behavior.

Is The Accutite Procedure Safe?

AccuTite is part of the Radiofrequency Assisted Lipolysis (RFAL) family of technologies, which has over 22 peer-reviewed clinical publications showing a high-level of safety. AccuTite has numerous safeguards built into the technology to ensure uniform and gentle heating that makes the procedure comfortable and effective.

Is Accutite Painful?

No. Providers may use a combination of local and oral medications to minimize tissue sensations and also calm the nervous system. Patients are comfortable and at ease when undergoing their Accutite procedure. Mild soreness is a common side effect that subsides over 7 to 10 days.

What Kind Of Post-Procedure Care Is Required For Accutite?

AccuTite is a minimally invasive procedure performed with a very small wand under local anesthesia or light sedation. Post-procedure, patients can go home and resume regular activities shortly after. Depending on the treatment area, wearing a compression garment may be recommended.

Can I Combine Accutite Treatment With Other Procedures?

Yes. Some of the treatments that patients combine with their Accutite procedure include Morpheus 8 microneedling, dermal fillers, and Botox. Your consultation visit is a time for you to discuss the concerns and goals that you have regarding your appearance. Your discussion with an experienced provider is foundational to a customized treatment plan designed just for you. During that visit, you can learn about a variety of treatments and how each may work in a unique way to bring out the best in your skin.

Can I Get Accutite Again In The Future?

Yes. Accutite is designed to achieve significant improvements in tissue elasticity and firmness during a single procedure. After this treatment, tissue remodeling can continue for several months and, depending on genetic and lifestyle factors, patients may enjoy results that last for years. That said, some people schedule a touch-up Accutite treatment 6 to 12 months after their initial rejuvenating procedure.
