Winter is the perfect time to cuddle up next to a warm fire and sip on a nice cup of hot chocolate or tea. Winter is also an ideal time to treat those spider veins that have been driving you nuts.
Depending on the size of your spider veins and the location, we have two options that we may recommend: sclerotherapy and laser treatment. With shorts season still so far away, though, you may be wondering why on earth winter is the best time to get rid of your spider veins.
Treatment Takes Time
Whether you decide to go with sclerotherapy or laser, one crucial thing that both of these treatments have in common is that they take time to get done. For instance, most patients will have to get multiple sclerotherapy treatments to get the full results. And because we have to space each treatment about six weeks apart, when you get it done during the winter it will give you plenty of time to get ready for summer. Similarly, you may also require multiple laser sessions until you see the full results.
You Can Conceal Them
Feeling the pressure to have perfect skin can be overwhelming if you suffer from spider veins. One of the good things about getting spider vein treatment done during the winter is that it gives you the perfect excuse to conceal your spider veins in between treatments.
During your initial consultation with our office, we will do a quick evaluation of your spider veins and then discuss which treatment option we think will give you the best result.
